The bore & stroke of this engine is the perfect combination of performance, reliability and driveability.  It provides excellent low end torque and performance throughout the entire R.P.M. range and is designed for years of trouble free service.   With the same cylinder wall thickness as the 1600, you get added insurance against overheating.

1835 cc Volkswagen Dual Port Engine
  • 69 mm Stroke x 92 mm Bore
  • 40 mm Intake & 35.5 mm Exhaust Valves

Essentially the same engine as the 1776 cc, it has a larger 92 mm bore, it's one of the most popular VW engines available today that still utilizes the stock stroke and offers a few more ponies.

  • 69 mm Stroke x 94 mm Bore

This is also the same engine as the 1835 cc with the  larger 94 mm bore. This engine offers good reliability with the most power while still retaining the stock stroke.

  • 74 mm Stroke x 90.5 mm Bore
  • 40 mm Intake & 35.5 mm Exhaust Valves

  • 74 mm Stroked Counterweighted Chromoly Crankshaft
This motor produces additional torque with the use of a special counterweighted and balanced 74 mm stroked crankshaft.   This crank requires only minor case clearancing so the engine retains its strength and reliability.  The thick walled 90.5 mm bore make this an excellent street performer with power to spare.
